This policy explains what personal data FeedTrip collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
FeedTrip is operated by Somestrat Consulting, a company registered in Belgium under company number BE 1033.472.840 (“we”, “us”, “FeedTrip”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
For any privacy request, use our contact form at feedtrip.app/contact.
2. What data we collect
•
Account data: your email address, and the name and profile photo you choose to add.
•
Content you create: trips, saved places, notes, and cover photos you upload.
•
Usage data: the number of extractions you run each month (to enforce free vs. Pro limits) and basic technical logs.
•
Links you submit: the TikTok or Instagram links, or the videos, you provide for analysis.
•
Device identifiers: when you use the iOS or Android app, Adapty receives an identifier for your device and your FeedTrip account id, so that a purchase made on a phone can be matched to the right subscription and to the right account.
•
Advertising measurement: the iOS and Android apps include AppsFlyer, which tells us which advertisement brought you to FeedTrip and whether people who arrive that way go on to create an account, run an extraction or subscribe. To do this it receives a device identifier, your FeedTrip account id, and the fact that one of those three things happened. It does not receive your email address, your links, or anything you save. On iOS, the advertising identifier is only used if you allow it when the system asks; if you decline, measurement falls back to Apple’s SKAdNetwork, which reports installs without identifying anyone. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising id at any time in the system settings.
•
Payment data: when you subscribe to Pro on the web, payment is processed by Stripe. When you subscribe inside the iOS or Android app, the purchase is made through Apple’s App Store or Google Play and validated for us by Adapty. In every case we never see or store your card details — we only keep your subscription status and a customer reference.
3. Why we use it (legal bases)
•
To provide the service and your account — performance of our contract with you.
•
To process your Pro subscription — performance of a contract.
•
To enforce free-plan limits, keep the service secure and improve it — our legitimate interests.
•
Optional features (e.g. adding a profile or cover photo) — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by removing them.
•
Measuring which advertisements work — your consent on iOS, given or refused through the system prompt shown when you first open the app; our legitimate interest in knowing whether our advertising spend produces anything, on Android, where you can opt out by deleting your advertising id in the system settings.
4. Service providers (processors)
We rely on trusted providers who process data on our behalf, only as needed to run FeedTrip:
•
Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (hosted in the EU).
•
Stripe — subscription payments made on the web.
•
Adapty — validating App Store and Google Play subscriptions, and telling us which account they belong to.
•
Apple and Google — processing in-app purchases made on iOS and Android.
•
Google (Gemini, Places, Sign-In) — analysing the videos you submit and enriching places.
•
OpenAI — audio transcription for longer videos.
•
RapidAPI — retrieving the TikTok / Instagram content you submit.
•
Mapbox — turning place names into map coordinates.
•
Vercel — hosting the website.
•
Vercel Analytics and Plausible — counting visits to the website and which pages are read, without cookies and without identifying anyone. Website only: the iOS and Android apps include neither.
•
AppsFlyer — measuring which advertisement led to an install, and reporting back to the advertising platform (currently TikTok) that an install, a sign-up, an extraction or a subscription followed. Apps only: the website includes no advertising measurement.
5. International transfers
Some providers (e.g. Google, OpenAI, Stripe, Adapty, Apple, AppsFlyer) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.
•
You can edit your profile and delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account).
•
For any other request, contact us via feedtrip.app/contact.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).
8. Cookies & local storage
In the apps, we use essential local storage only, to keep you signed in and remember your session. There are no cookies in the apps. Advertising measurement there uses device identifiers rather than cookies, and is described in sections 2 and 4.
The website sets no analytics cookies at all. Visits are counted by Vercel Analytics and Plausible, which record the page, the country and the kind of device, and identify nobody — there is no cookie to accept or refuse, and nothing to opt out of. Nothing on the website is used for advertising.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising. The measurement described above tells advertising platforms about our own campaigns, and nothing more.
